Bamboo Matcha Whisk

This bamboo chasen, or matcha whisk, is a must have tool for the proper traditional preparation of matcha.  Crafted from a single piece of Chinese bamboo, this matcha whisk has 100 tines, making it well-suited for for producing fine, smooth foam.  

While chasen for matcha are traditionally made in Japan, it's becoming more difficult (and more expensive) to obtain Japanese chasen.  A matcha whisk made in China is generally a good substitute and an affordable entry level chasen for those new to the matcha game.
