Jun Chiyabari Organic Himalayan Shiiba from Nepal
Shiiba is a limited production specialty tea from an exceptional tea garden in Nepal called Jun Chiyabari. The tea plants for this tea were originally from Shiiba Village, high in the mountains of Japan's Miyazaki Province. They have flourished under Jun Chiyabari's care and are made each year into a very small batch of truly breathtakingly beautiful tea.
The taste is quite reminiscent of a very lightly oxidized oolong: very fresh, sweet, fruity and floral. The texture is thick and lush with a pleasing light minerality. This is a great tea to have on hand to share with friends - it really calls out to be shared with others because it is so exceptional.
